About Us

Michelle Crosby is the owner and manager of Summer House.

Michelle became an Early Years Teacher (Qualified Teacher Status) in July 2014. She also holds a BSc Honours Degree. Her previous career was as a Chartered Surveyor working in commercial property development. After working again part time in property when her eldest daughter was small, she then decided to look into options for starting a childcare business. When Michelle’s youngest daughter was around 18 months old, in 2010, Michelle and her assistant started to look after children at her home in Southfields.

“I always loved the company of small children. My grandmother once said that the happiest time of her life was when her children were little. Since starting our own family I can totally appreciate what she was talking about. So looking after and helping children grow and love life is where I’m at. I just wish I’d done it sooner. My parenting and teaching style is relaxed, with as much emphasis on fun as possible.” Michelle 2010
